LEGAL & COMPANY INFORMATION
Accessibility Statement
Cognisphere Global Ltd is committed to providing digital experiences that are usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies or have visual, hearing, motor, cognitive or other disabilities.
1. Our accessibility standard
We aim to design and develop https://cognisphere.co.uk, including account and dashboard functionality, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably applicable.
WCAG 2.2 is an international accessibility standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Level AA includes requirements relating to areas such as keyboard access, focus visibility, colour contrast, text resizing, labels, error identification, accessible authentication and status messages.
2. Current conformance status
The Cognisphere website is under active development and authenticated account and dashboard features are being introduced. We do not currently make a formal claim of full WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance at this moment. Our current objective is to identify and remediate barriers as part of design, development, quality assurance and release review rather than relying on an accessibility overlay as a substitute for accessible source code.
3. What we are designing for
- semantic HTML and a logical heading structure;
- keyboard-only navigation and visible focus indicators;
- sufficient colour contrast and information that does not depend on colour alone;
- text that can be resized and reflowed without loss of content or functionality;
- meaningful alternative text for informative images and appropriate treatment of decorative images;
- labels, instructions and programmatically determinable names for forms and interactive controls;
- clear validation, error messages and opportunities to review important submissions;
- accessible authentication that does not unnecessarily depend on memory or cognitive tests;
- status messages that can be announced by assistive technologies;
- captions, transcripts or alternatives for meaningful audio/video content where appropriate;
- responsive layouts that work across supported screen sizes and orientations;
- reduced-motion preferences and avoidance of unnecessary flashing or movement;
- accessible documents and downloadable materials where reasonably practicable.
4. Authenticated dashboards and product interfaces
When account and dashboard functionality is available, accessibility testing will extend to registration, sign-in, password recovery, multi-factor authentication, navigation, tables, dashboards, forms, alerts, modal dialogs, data visualisations and key workflows. Where a visual chart conveys material information, we aim to provide an accessible textual or tabular alternative where reasonably practicable.
5. Known limitations
No specific production limitation is confirmed in this document at the date of drafting because the website and dashboard are still being developed. After testing, any material known limitation that cannot immediately be resolved will be listed here together with an available workaround or alternative where possible.
We are not currently aware of any material accessibility limitation that prevents access to a core website function.
6. Third-party content
Some functions may rely on third-party services, such as scheduling, maps, video, payment, chat or embedded content. We select and configure third-party services with accessibility in mind where reasonably possible, but we may not control every aspect of their accessibility. If a third-party feature creates a barrier, contact us and we will try to provide a practical alternative.
7. Alternative formats and reasonable adjustments
If you need information in an alternative format or need a reasonable adjustment to access our services, contact info@cognisphere.co.uk. Please tell us what information or service you need and, if useful, the format or adjustment that would help you. We will consider requests individually and respond as soon as reasonably practicable.
8. Feedback and reporting an accessibility problem
We welcome accessibility feedback. If you encounter a barrier, please contact info@cognisphere.co.uk and include, where possible:
- the page or feature affected;
- what you were trying to do;
- the device, browser or assistive technology you were using;
- a brief description of the problem.
We will review accessibility reports as part of our quality and product-improvement process.
9. Legal context
As a UK private-sector service provider, Cognisphere considers its obligations under the Equality Act 2010, including the duty to make reasonable adjustments where applicable. Where Cognisphere provides services within scope of the European Accessibility Act or national laws implementing it in the European Union, we will apply the relevant accessibility requirements.
The European Accessibility Act applies from 28 June 2025 to specified products and services, including e-commerce services, subject to its scope, national implementation and available exemptions. Accessibility obligations can therefore depend on the nature of a particular Cognisphere product and the market in which it is offered.
10. Assessment and review
Accessibility will be reviewed as part of release and quality-assurance activities. Our intended review approach includes automated testing, manual keyboard testing, colour-contrast checks and, for material user journeys, testing with assistive technologies.
We plan to review this statement after major website or product changes and at least annually while the service is actively developed.
